The state of Black residents: The relevance of place to racial equity and outcomes

McKinsey and Company  – This report states that it may take decades to improve outcomes for Black Americans and more than three centuries to get to racial parity. It finds that generally outcomes for Black residents are better in places with stronger economic foundations, however, these types of places typically have smaller Black populations. The authors argue that in order to prevent these disparities from lingering for future generations, all stakeholders will need to bring fresh energy and urgency to engaging on solutions.
